of Dongxiang County, Jiangxi Province and the Animal Husbandry Institute of
Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Small in size, high egg-laying

The lineages of green-shelled hens contain the blood
of the chickens. However, the breed has strong brooding (about 15%), so the egg
production rate is low.

Prevention and control of pullorum in green-shelled hens
Pullorum is a common infectious disease caused by Salmonella
pullorum, and chicks within 2 weeks of age die the most.
(1) Pathogen in pullorum in green-shelled hens
Salmonella pullorum is not resistant to
chemical disinfectants, and general disinfectants such as 5% carbolic acid and
0.2% mercury chloride can be killed in 5 minutes.
It is mainly prevalent in 2-3 week old chicks, and the
incidence of reserve chickens and adult chickens is less. Gastrointestinal
infection is the main route of infection.
(2) Symptoms of pullorum in green-shelled hens
The sick chicks have piles, drooping wings, sluggishness, no appetite, screaming when defecation, a layer of white feces is often attached near the anus, prolapse of the anus, and often stretches and shrinks. Adult chickens generally do not show obvious clinical symptoms after infection.
(3) Prevention and treatment of pullorum in green-shelled hens
i. Regular quarantine, hatching eggs are fumigated and
disinfected with formalin, and they are introduced from chicken farms without
pullorum.
2. 50 grams of Shigella kexing is 35 to 40 kilograms of medicinal mixture. Mix sulfamethazine and sulfamethazine in the feed at a dose of 0.2% to 0.4% for 3 consecutive days, and then halve the dose for 1 week.
Oxytetracycline, tetracycline and chlortetracycline are mixed into the feed at
a dose of 0.02% to 0.06% and can be used continuously for several weeks.
